Mario Leclere

Mario Leclere was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1983. He began working in the audiovisual industry in 2000 as a colourist and graphic artist specialising in visual effects. Driven by his passion for images, he decided to pursue a career in cinematography, which is now his main professional focus.From 2012 to 2019, he lived in Italy, where he worked with Discovery Channel, La7 and RAI, as well as in the independent film industry. He currently lives in Spain, where he continues to develop his career.He has received several awards and nominations at national and international festivals, including the 73rd Venice International Film Festival (2016). Throughout his career, he has worked on 6 feature films, more than 30 short films, 18 television films, 12 documentaries, 3 television series, 1 telenovela and several television programmes.
