The Alicante Provincial Council has awarded a grant to the Skyline Benidorm Film Festival through its funding programme for film festivals across the province. This support helps strengthen a cultural project that, after ten editions, has become one of the leading short film festivals in the Valencian Community.
Held from 18 to 25 April 2026, the Skyline Benidorm Film Festival celebrated its 10th edition with a programme featuring Spanish, international and Ibero-American short films, public activities and a comprehensive industry programme.
Through initiatives such as PRISMA, the International Co-production Meeting; Shortpitch, dedicated to fostering new audiovisual projects; and the Screenplay Competition, the festival has reinforced its commitment to emerging talent while creating opportunities for filmmakers, industry professionals and audiences to connect.
The grant awarded by the Alicante Provincial Council provides valuable support for the continued development of a festival that promotes film culture, strengthens the audiovisual sector and contributes to positioning Benidorm and the Province of Alicante as a territory committed to creativity and audiovisual production.
The 10th edition of the Skyline Benidorm Film Festival once again demonstrated the event’s growth and consolidation, reaffirming its commitment to discovering new filmmaking voices and supporting creators who see short films as a space for innovation, creativity and professional development.
